Raindrops are formed when water vapor in the air condenses into liquid water droplets. This process occurs when warm, moist air rises and cools, causing the water vapor to condense and form clouds. As the droplets in the clouds continue to grow and collide with each other, they eventually become too heavy to remain suspended and fall to the ground as raindrops.
