1) Прочитайте приведённый отрывок из современной газеты (в тексте намеренно допущены небольшие речевые ошибки — в согласовании времен, в употреблении артиклей и предлогов):
"Yesterday the city council approve a new plan for waterfront. The mayor says the project will create hundreds of jobs and it is expects to be completed in two years. Local residents had expressed concern about loss of the green spaces, and many was worried on increased traffic. A new park will be build at the site, but the developers promised that it will be accessible for everyone. Some experts argue that the plan were rushed, while others welcomed the investment in to local economy."
2) Задача: найдите все ошибки, объясните кратко причину каждой и предложите исправленный вариант фразы или предложения.
Ключ (короткие пояснения и исправления):
1. "approve" → "approved" — ошибка времени: действие произошло вчера, нужен Past Simple.
Испр.: "Yesterday the city council approved a new plan for the waterfront."
2. "for waterfront" → "for the waterfront" — пропущён артикль перед конкретной частью города.
Испр.: "for the waterfront."
3. "it is expects to be completed" → "it is expected to be completed" — неверная форма: либо активное "expects" с подлежащим, либо пассивная конструкция "is expected".

8. "promised that it will be accessible" → "promised that it would be accessible" — согласование в косвенной речи: при передаче обещания в прошлом следует смещать время.

9. "plan were rushed" → "plan was rushed" — ошибка согласования числа/времени подлежащего и сказуемого.
Испр.: "Some experts argue that the plan was rushed..."
10. "in to local economy" → "into the local economy" — предлог и артикль: должно быть "into" + "the" для конкретной экономики данного региона.
Испр.: "welcomed the investment into the local economy."
