I am a big fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, particularly his historical novels. The White Company and Sir Nigel are both fantastic works that showcase Doyle's ability to create rich and engaging historical settings. I have not come across many novels quite like them, as Doyle's mastery of historical detail and his ability to bring characters to life set his work apart from others in the genre.
